Good Friends Are Rewarding to Have
“A true friend doesn’t sympathize with your weakness; instead they help summon your strength.” – Anonymous, excerpt from Quotations for Successful Living
I want to thank everyone, friends included, for coming out and supporting me and the horses at the Epilogue Book Company and Off the Beaten Path Booksellers & Cafe in Steamboat Springs this past weekend. You all inspire me to spread the horses’ message of peace and love and express their hope to companion with compassionate people, especially women, in order to save the world. These were the first two stops on a national tour to publicize the horses’ book.
The first power-point presentation for A History of Horses Told by Horses was mired by a computer glitch when my laptop froze up delaying the start by fifteen minutes. Being technologically challenged I was flustered and at a loss for what to do. Fortunately, a friend came forward from the crowd and saved the day, thank you Richard.
You’re Invited: H.A. Levin’s Pre-Launch Celebrations
I happily invite you to join me for my upcoming debuts in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for my new book entitled, A History of Horses Told by Horses.
At the first event, I will give a PowerPoint presentation featuring illustrations from the book and photos of our equine friends and animal lovers, who inspired me to write their stories. The Epilogue Book Company, located on 837 Lincoln Avenue, will be the host of this event on Friday, March 20th at 7 PM.
At the second happening I will be free to answer your questions and sign books at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore & Coffee House, located on 68 9th Street, on Saturday, March 21st between 1-3 PM.
A History of Horses Told by Horses was inspired by my close equine friend, teacher and guide, Bess, who lived on Chriss and John Fetcher’s Ranch by the edge of Steamboat Lake. It was here that I realized in working with animals that I began my journey and learned from the horses their mission is to empower women in order to lead humanity toward a more peaceful, life-sustaining path.

Friends Always
Hi, I am Howard Alan Levin – most people call me Howie or Hal, which is the acronym of my name. I am an author, my third book A History of Horses Told by Horses is to be released in April 2009. I am also an experienced speaker, consultant, and spiritual healer.
Friends Always is the title I gave the paper newsletter that I created in 1989 for family and friends. It allows me to update the people I care about most. Each issue opened with an inspiring quotation from my first book Quotations for Successful Living.
The first quote I used was, “A friend may well be the masterpiece of life,” by Ralph Waldo Emerson. This passage defines for me what matters most in my life, not possessions, but family and friends. I love my family and friends. It makes my heart soar anytime I can inspire them or make them laugh and smile.
