    Spiritual Healing a True Story

I was at a car dealership in Denver when Cindy (name changed for her privacy) approached and asked me, “Are you a spiritual healer?”

Incredulous about her question, I inquired why she asked. Cindy related her dream about me, with horses. I was amazed. I told her that indeed I was a certified spiritual healer and gave her my business card. Cindy asked if I could do a healing for her.

I inquired, “Why do you need spiritual healing?” Cindy told me that she recently noticed a lump in her armpit.

Being a professional I said that I would perform a healing session with her if she promised to have the swelling biopsied. She agreed and I performed the healing procedure. Afterward she said she felt relaxed and relieved.

Cindy called me a few days later and told me the diagnosis of her biopsy was pervasive cancer. She needed surgery and chemotherapy and asked if I would continue performing healing for her. I agreed to support her with distant healing from my home everyday.

I am so happy to report that Cindy beat her cancer into remission. I continue to send distant healing to her daily.

In a previous blog I wrote about how helping others ultimately led to my own healing, by a horse, when I was challenged with having had cancer. During this time my inquiries into the healing arts lead me to the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (NFSH) based in England. Founded in 1954, the NFSH is recognized as the principle spiritual healing organization in Europe with more than 6,500 accredited members. In England and the rest of the continent the NFSH is highly respected throughout the medical profession with many healers working in hospitals, doctors’ offices, hospices, healing centers, and veterinary practices.

I became accredited through their affiliate member in the United States, NFSH Healing in America. Their aim is to promote the availability of spiritual healing to everyone. The organization is not associated with any religion and is non-denominational. The NFSH does see the source of healing as divine, but respects the right of the individual to his or her interpretation of that source. The word “spiritual” refers to the quality of spirituality implicit in the healing process. All members of the NFSH Healing in America are bound by a strict Code of Conduct.

I have been asked, “What is spiritual healing?” It is the channeling of healing energies, from the divine source passing through the healer and into the client. Spiritual Healing re-energizes and relaxes the receiving person, thus enabling their own natural resources to deal with the injury in the best possible way. When a person or animal becomes ill, on some level energetic “blockage” is preventing the body from functioning correctly. The energy directed by the healer helps “unblock” this, enabling the body’s own natural recuperative abilities to deal with the problem in the most appropriate way for the client.

This energy is usually given to the recipient through the healer’s hands – or at a distance – and supplements the depleted energy of the client in a very effective way. Everyday after my morning mediation I perform distant healing for numerous people and animals.

People receiving healing often experience sensations of warmth, a feeling of peace, relaxation and a sentiment of being safe. Healing may be given for any illness, stress or injury as it is completely natural and has no side effects. It can be used on its own, or complementary to any other therapy or conventional treatment and is helpful in a wide range of physical and psychological conditions, sometimes to a remarkable degree.

In addition to its value in relieving pain and restoring function, healing is also notable for initiating improvements in a client’s attitude becoming more positive, having more clarity, and improving their quality of life. Healing often helps with the speed of recovery from serious illness and major surgery and from the effects of treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. It works well with all forms of holistic medicine and clients feel more stable, relaxed and have a more positive outlook on life. Healings are also being used more commonly to maintain health and well-being.

I have been helped by a spiritual healer about a half dozen times maybe a year ago. I was experiencing high volumes of stress – job change, divorce, etc. This man (from the east cost, and I am on the west coast) really helped me! The power of energy is amazing whether you believe in it or not!

What a great story. I hope it inspires many! please allow me to share my story with you:

I had been doing teaching and healing work for about 15-20 years. For about a year, I had been looking for someone who could take my healing to the next level. I always believed that healing miracles were possible, I just didn’t know how.
I was doing massage and healing work at the local Unity church and I heard they were bringing in a guy from China, Dr. Sha, to teach about healing. I really didn’t pay much attention.
Then one evening I was checking my emails and I came across a flyer reminding me he was coming that night. My partner was in the bedroom, crashed out after work. He had been complaining for a long time about always feeling sluggish and low energy. I had made a lot of suggestions, but you know, there’s only so much you can say to your partner before it becomes nagging! I called out, “Hey, I forgot to tell you. There’s some healer from China coming to Unity tonight. Supposed be a master of I Ching, Feng Shi, Tai Chi, some other stuff. His name’s Dr. Sha.” I figured we’re not going anywhere. Next thing I know, my partner’s standing in the doorway, dully dressed, saying “let’s go!” I was shocked!
That evening, I watched Dr. Sha do healing blessings an a very large woman with no cartilage in her knees who could barely walk with her cane. He did several kinds of healings and by the time he was done, she was walking up and down the aisles without her cane, sobbing at the amazing transformation that was happening in her life. My heart and soul said “yes!”
My partner and I have both studied pretty intensely with Dr. Sha for several years. We have helped hundreds of people and even had some miracles of our own. I have a friend who says that the healing blessing I gave her made her migraines go away after years of pain medication. We have a couple friends who tell us the blessings we gave helped to heal their babies in the hospital – that they saw the difference right away and it kept their babies from surgery, or worse. And a few days after doing a demonstration with one of our colleagues, she came up to me and said, “Thank you for what you did for my friend.” I said, “Ummmm….You’re welcome. What did I do?” She said, “My friend said you just looked at her and healed her.”
Please don’t misunderstand. I know who I am. I am the same guy who believed that healing miracles can happen, but didn’t know how. I know that I wasn’t the one causing those healings. They came from the same place all healing comes from, the Divine (or whatever name you wan to use). And they came from Love. But, those are more miracles than I ever experienced in my practice before I met Dr. Sha. I am so very glad hat I did meet him, that my partner did want to go that night, and that the Divine has shown me this way of working with people.
